Fashion and music with influential fashion designers from Latin America and the Caribbean

The Latin American fashion world returns to Venice for the second edition of the “Venice International Fashion Concert” (CMIV), conceived and directed by event creator Antonia Jean, under the patronage of the City of Venice, and included officially in the program “Le Città in Festa 2023”. In this second edition, which will be held from June 9 to 11, thanks to the valuable support of the Branchicella law firm in Rome, the high craftsmanship of Latin American designers such as Giannina Azar, (fashion designer for stars of the caliber of Beyonce, Jennifer López and Malunma and recognized by Forbes as one of the most creative women in the Caribbean and Latin America), will once again captivate the city of Venice. A select audience of influencers, international buyers and professionals from the world of fashion and entertainment will participate in a three-day event where the stars of this “Concert” will be the precious creations of established designers and young proposals. A meeting between two worlds, the European and the Latin American, destined to promote creativity and the history of costumes and Latin and Caribbean culture, bringing to the city of Venice a new proposal in the fashion business scene.

Not only fashion, but also shows, events and exhibitions

Also in this edition of CMIV 2023, Antonia Jean chooses to organize a series of initiatives and meetings within the event to promote a better dissemination of Latin American fashion in Venice. During the three days of CMIV 2023, in addition to the fashion shows, there will be interviews, appetizers and networking opportunities with stylists, professionals and celebrities present, in order to tell the story of Latino culture and show the Venetian to foreign guests. , as in the Murano Glass Festival and a photographic exhibition of the Leo Matiz Foundation dedicated to Frida Kahlo. Sunday, the closing day of the event, which will be open to the public, will be dedicated to the celebration of Latin America, with live music and the exhibition of some of the creations of the designers who have paraded the previous days.

From Latin America to Venice

The conception and direction of the CMIV is the responsibility of the Dominican businesswoman Antonia Jean, active for years in the world of events throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, accompanied by the lawyer Maurizio Branchicella, general director and president of the Branchicella law firm, who has believed in this project since its inception. “I chose the city of Venice as the setting for this event precisely because of the deep history that unites the world of Latin America with the Serenissima. Just like the journey that the Venetians undertook seven centuries ago to reach and discover America, the International Fashion Concert from Venice wants to represent an ideal round trip from Latin America and the Caribbean to the lagoon city, through suggestions and traditions that only the world of fashion can offer’, explains Antonia Jean.
